Marieangela King has filed for divorce from Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, just over a year after Allman’s divorce dismissal was granted by a judge.
King’s divorce request was filed Tuesday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. The two originally married in December 2013, and the filing says they separated March 31.
Per the documents, which Entertainment Weekly has reviewed, King is requesting “$6,000 per month in temporary spousal support based on marital standard and ability for [Allman] to pay.” She is also requesting “exclusive use of residence” and their vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Prius V. If Allman chooses to keep the vehicle, King requests an additional $2,000 one-time payment and $500 per month in spousal support so that King may acquire a vehicle for her use.
“We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I’ll always cherish. I know we’ll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart,” King told PEOPLE in a statement. “As we turn the page to this next chapter, we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding.”
Allman could not be reached for comment by EW. A rep for King declined additional comment.
Allman first filed for divorce from King in 2021, but in January 2024 the two seemed to have reconciled when he sought a dismissal “without prejudice,” according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. (This motion was granted a month later.)

Prior to that, King accused Cher of kidnapping her son in court documents that surfaced in September 2023. Cher later denied this, and in an interview with PEOPLE, declined to comment further on the allegations, but did say that the private family matter was related to her musician son’s struggles with substance abuse and addiction.
King also said in October that she hadn’t seen Allman in person since April, claiming that Cher had continued to “interfere” with Allman’s “health management as well as his location and accessibility” amid their commitment to “work on [their] marriage.”

Those allegations came just before Cher’s attempt to place Allman under a conservatorship in December 2023, which she claimed in a filing at the time was necessary because Allman was allegedly “substantially unable to manage his financial resources” because of “severe mental health and substance abuse issues” and that a conservator is “urgently needed…to protect Elijah’s property from loss or injury.” A judge later denied Cher’s request. In September 2024, PEOPLE reported that Allman and Cher had reached a private agreement on the conservatorship.
