Conor McGregor Places 0K Bet on Michael Chandler to Beat Pimblett By KO at UFC 314

Conor McGregor has some significant dough on the line for the main card of UFC 314.

The Irish fighter shared on social media that he had placed a $500,000 bet on Michael Chandler to defeat Paddy Pimblett by knockout in the co-main card of Saturday’s event.

McGregor would win $2.5 million if Chandler were to fulfill his bet. He explained his reasoning behind the decision in the post.

“I thought Paddy has improved in his past few outings but I still fancy Chandler to do it,” McGregor said. “The odds of a knockout are just too tasty…”

McGregor himself was supposed to fight Chandler back in June but the fight was cancelled due to an injury from the Irishman. McGregor has since gone into retirement and even launched a campaign for the president of Ireland.

He has not fought since 2021 when he lost to Dustin Poirier and broke his leg. He has a lifetime record of 22-6 but has notably lost three of his last four fights.

Chandler has a lifetime record of 23-9 but has also notably lost four of his last five bouts. Pimblett is less experienced at 22-3 but is on an eight-fight winning streak and is eight years younger than Chandler.

The fight is set to begin at 10 p.m. ET in Miami.
