Viktor Hovland had nothing but kind words for playing partner J.J. Spaun, first after Spaun’s dramatic long birdie putt to seal his win, then later when speaking to reporters.
Hovland can clearly be heard telling Spaun: “That was impressive, dude, congrats,” when the two shook hands on the 18th green after Spaun’s winning putt.
Later, the Norwegian star had this to say of Spaun:
💬 “That was unbelievable. After his start, it looked like he was out of it immediately… This golf course is just a beast. To watch him hole the putt on 12 down the hill there was unreal, and then he makes the one on 14 that was straight down the hill, and then the one on 18, it was just absolutely filthy there.”
