Borussia Dortmund closes out the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup when they take on Ulsan HD this afternoon. Dortmund are currently in second place in Group F and look to clinch a spot in the knockout stage with a result.
Through two matches, USMNT fans have not seen Gio Reyna, Cole Campbell, or Mathis Albert step onto the field. With Dortmund needing a result to ensure they move through to the Round of 16, it doesn’t feel likely that any of the three will hear their number called to enter the match unless the scoreline gets out of hand.
Dortmund qualifies for the Round of 16 with a win or draw over Ulsan. If they win, they could capture the group if Fluminense draws or loses against Mamelodi Sundowns. If Fluminense wins, the group winner would come down to goal differential. If they draw, they will be the runners-up. Should Dortmund lose, they would look to the result of Fluminense-Mamelodi Sundowns. A Sundowns win would have them top the group and Dortmund would need a better goal differential to outlast Fluminense for second place.
