DAZN acquires rights to broadcast Serie A in the UK & Ireland for 2025-26

DAZN has announced that Serie A will be broadcast on its platform from next season in the UK & Ireland, where a proper TV deal was previously missing.

In the 2024-25 season, TNT Sports had the rights to broadcast ten Serie A games per round, while OneFootball showed all of the games through its app and website. It was met with a lot of criticism from local fans, though, due to subscription fees and technical issues.

It’s not exactly new for Serie A to struggle with its foreign TV rights, especially since several countries lacked a broadcaster for the 2024-25 season (or at the very least, they were secured days before the start of the season).

DAZN acquires the rights

As announced by DAZN earlier today, it has acquired the rights to broadcast Serie A in the UK & Ireland, as well as in the US for the Spanish audience. For now, it seems the rights have only been secured for the 2025-26 season and not multiple seasons.

It should be noted that the UK’s Saturday blackout window will still apply, meaning DAZN won’t be able to show the games that fall within that window in full. In any case, with one service now showing all games, UK fans will surely be happy about the agreement.

With Max Allegri keen on turning things around for Milan, it might be a season that many fans want to follow after all…
