Morgan Wallen Says He’s Far from Jesus on ‘I Ain’t Comin’ Back’ Collab with Post Malone

Morgan Wallen and Post Malone have joined forces once again.

On Friday, April 18, the pair teamed up for “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” which will be featured on the “Whiskey Glasses” musician’s forthcoming album I’m the Problem.

On the breezy country-rock track, Wallen, 31, appears to brush off backlash he’s faced, singing, “You call me thе devil / Then you told me whеre to go / Go throw your pebbles / I’ll be somewhere gettin’ stoned.”

During the chorus, the country star comments on what makes him the furthest thing from Jesus.

“‘Cause the night I said, “I’m leavin’,” I turned into Richard Petty / Broke my heart and I got even in my ’97 Chevy / Now I’m walkin’ on this water, mixed with Johnnie Walker Black / There’s a lot of reasons I ain’t Jesus, but the main one is that I ain’t comin’ back / Oh no, no, I ain’t comin’ back,” Wallen sings.

The “Cowgirls” singer and “Sunflower” artist, 29, also shared a joint Instagram post announcing the release on Friday, April 18.

“Out now,” they captioned the post, alongside a clip of a sun rising behind a pickup truck featuring the name of the single.

In May 2024, Wallen and Malone dropped their collaborative single “I Had Some Help,” along with an accompanying music video.

On the Grammy-nominated country-pop track, the pair harmonize as they sing about a breakup.

“I had some help/It ain’t like I can make this kind of mess all by myself/Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf,” the duo sings in the chorus.

Earlier this week, Wallen revealed who will be part of his upcoming 37-track album and also gave fans insight into his songwriting process.

“A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” he said in a press release. “We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that. I feel like there’s a lot of stuff that I haven’t said in this record, which I’m really, really proud of.”

He also shared a panoramic image on Instagram of a car covered with bumper stickers that feature the track titles.

Post Malone, Eric Church, ERNEST, HARDY and Tate McRae — Wallen’s first collaboration with a female artist — will be featured on I’m the Problem.

I’m the Problem will be released on May 16.
