The Vancouver Canucks will be playing for pride while the Vegas Golden Knights will be playing while trying to no get hurt ahead of the playoffs. Our NHL betting picks will side with the Canucks at a generous price.

It’s the regular season finale for the Vancouver Canucks. With no playoffs for them on the horizon, they’ll close their campaign Wednesday when they host the Vegas Golden Knights.
Vegas is headed to the postseason as Pacific Division champions, and have literally nothing left to play for — part of the reason the NHL odds for this one are so tight.
Our Canucks vs. Golden Knights predictions and NHL picks have Vegas going ultra-conservative, hoping to avoid injury and get out of town unscathed before the postseason. Vancouver should be able to take advantage of that on Wednesday, April 16.

My Canucks analysis
The Vancouver Canucks are hoping to avoid a four-game regular season series sweep at the hands of their division rival. They have been playing good hockey down the homestretch, going 3-0-1 over their last four games, including a 2-1 OT win over the San Jose Sharks last time out.
The Canucks, who finished outside of the Bottom 10 in scoring this season at 2.86 goals per game, have finally found some goals to finish out the year, tallying 14 across their last four games. Scoring has been something they haven’t been able to do against the Vegas Golden Knights, with just four goals across their three losses this season.
Vegas will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back to close out the year, after they lost 5-4 to the Calgary Flames in a shootout on Tuesday night. The Golden Knights rested most of their key players against the Flames, and the expectation is they will do more of the same at Rogers Arena on Wednesday as they prepare for a Round 1 series with the Minnesota Wild.
That doesn’t mean Vegas won’t compete, as they still rang up four goals against a Calgary side that was still alive in the playoff picture as the puck dropped. However, Vancouver should want to close it out strong in front of its home fans, and the value is there.
Canucks vs Golden Knights odds analysis
Vancouver will be a moneyline favorite for just the second time in 11 games vs. the Golden Knights. Vancouver won 4-3 last April 24 the only other time it happened.
The Under has cashed in three straight games this season, and five times in the last seven overall. Eight of the Canucks’ last nine home games following a win have gone Under the total.
