While their opponent has not been determined, the Celtics’ second-round playoff schedule is set.
Boston, which earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and beat Orlando in five games to advance, will face the winner of the Knicks-Pistons series in the Eastern Conference semifinals. New York leads, 3-2, with Game 6 set for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Detroit.
The Celtics’ second-round series will open at TD Garden on Monday, with Game 2 to follow in Boston on Wednesday.
The Celtics will hit the road for Game 3 on Saturday, May 10, and Game 4 on Monday, May 12. If necessary, Game 5 will be played in Boston on May 14, Game 6 on the road on May 16, and Game 7 in Boston on May 19.
The Eastern Conference semifinal series between Cleveland and Indiana will follow a similar schedule beginning one day earlier, with Game 1 set for Sunday. Cleveland swept Miami, and Indiana beat Milwaukee in five games to punch their tickets to the second round.
Times and broadcast information for both series will be released at a later date.
