BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — The Easter Bunny made a grand entrance by helicopter at the Hopping for Hope event at T-K Farm on April 19.
As the helicopter descended, the beloved character, Peter Rabbit, dropped dozens of eggs, delighting the hundreds of families gathered for the occasion.
The event, which featured live music and food from local vendors, was a much-needed respite for a community that has faced significant challenges in recent months.

“We’ve all been through so very much. It’s been a long six and a half months, and we all need a little bit of joy,” said Rae Patton from the Valley Hope Foundation. “This was a great opportunity to bring the community together.”
In addition to the egg drop, attendees enjoyed pony and hayrides, as well as arts and crafts activities, making it a day filled with fun and community spirit.
