CSI Sports, the combat sports production and distribution company that owns the Fight Sports channel, has expanded its distribution tie-up in the US with FanDuel Sports Network (FDSN).
Through a one-year expansion of the agreement between Fight Sports and FDSN, Fight Sports’ programming is being added to an additional eight FanDuel networks, on top of the four regional channels already offering Fight Sports content in the US.
This expansion applies to US cities and markets including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tampa, Cleveland, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, and Milwaukee, CSI Sports has said.
In total, CSI Sports claims that the Fight Sports network now reaches over 70 million households in the US and that its coverage now extends across 90% of the top 50 Designated Market Areas in that country.
Fight Sports offers live action, feature content, and shoulder programming from sports including mixed martial arts (MMA), boxing, kickboxing, judo, sumo, and karate.
FanDuel Sports Networks, meanwhile, announced new strategic partnerships with SB Nation, the sports blogging network owned by Vox Media, and Yahoo Sports, an arm of the web services and digital media company, in late March.
As part of the SB deal, FanDuel now integrates affiliate links and tune-in messaging within SB Nation’s editorial content, while the Yahoo Sports partnership focuses on Yahoo Fantasy Plus, a subscription service that provides users with fantasy sports data, research, and tools for $35 per year.
