Erin Andrews won’t be reporting on football games for a few more months, but she’s keeping busy in the television game.
Andrews is part of FOX’s top NFL broadcasting crew, but starting Monday, you can catch her on NBC in the mornings. This weekend, TODAY With Jenna & Friends announced that Andrews will be guest co-host for the week of May 12.
“We can’t wait to spend the week with you,” the show’s official account said in an Instagram post.
“Guuuuuuuuys!!!! It’s gonna be a time!!!!!” Andrews acknowledged in the comments.
TODAY With Jenna & Friends is hosted by Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of former president George W. Bush. Comedian and actor Matt Rogers was last week’s guest host, and other recent guest hosts include actor Ken Jeong, comedian Wanda Sykes and actress Tina Fey.
Andrews has worked for FOX for more than a decade after making the leap from ESPN. Her contract with the network expired after the Super Bowl, but there are indications she’ll be back in the fold this fall.
“I think my goal is always kind of the same as last year,” Andrews said last September. “Enjoy it, because it’s not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up — and mine is.”
During an episode of her “Calm Down” podcast with Charissa Thompson in March, Andrews made reference to longtime colleague Jimmy Johnson returning to make guest appearances after he announced his retirement.
Alert listeners took note of the way Andrews referred to Johnson–saying that his retirement “won’t feel real until we kick off the season”–and deduced that the 47-year-old journalist was planning to be back on the job with FOX in September.
Andrews is the network’s top sideline reporter, working with No. 1 play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt and game analyst Tom Brady.
