Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Celebrate 4th Wedding Anniversary

Gwen Stefani is extra grateful for Blake Shelton this year.

Four years ago, the couple got married in an intimate ceremony on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch on July 3, 2021. In honor of their fourth anniversary this Thursday, July 3, Stefani, 55, posted to Instagram to express her appreciation for her husband, 49.

“7-3-21. every day i thank God for u @blakeshelton. happy anniversary ❤️ i love u so much ❤️,” the “Hollaback Girl” singer wrote alongside a video compilation of sweet moments between her and Shelton over the years, including several kisses.

The reel was accompanied by the couple’s hit duet, “Purple Irises,” which they performed together at the 2024 ACM Awards. 

Shelton shared his own post, featuring a throwback wedding photo of the pair kissing. “My pretty girl… I’m the luckiest man to be married to you and to know you. I love you @gwenstefani!!!!!! Happy anniversary!!!!” he wrote on Instagram.

Having first met as coaches on season 7 of The Voice in 2014 — Stefani’s first season and Shelton’s seventh — the two began dating in November 2015. Five years later, Shelton popped the question.

The pair announced their engagement on Oct. 27, 2020. At the time, Stefani shared a sweet pic of her smooching the “God’s Country” singer while flashing her diamond ring on her Instagram page, writing, “@blakeshelton yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx.” Shelton shared the same photo with the No Doubt frontwoman on Instagram, writing, “@gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”

Stefani has three sons — Kingston, 19, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11 — whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. The former couple split in 2015 after nearly 12 years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in April 2016.

Shelton was previously married to his first wife, Kaynette Williams, from 2003-2006. He then married fellow country music star Miranda Lambert in 2011 until they divorced in 2015.

During his cover story interview with PEOPLE in 2022, Shelton shared that he takes his role as a stepparent “very seriously.”

“Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously. The kids see me as a very important person in their life,” Shelton said.

He also told PEOPLE that he feels very “settled” with Stefani and that their relationship is the “easiest thing” he’s ever been a part of.

“To me, she’s my best friend and everything that I need and lean on,” he said.
