Thousands of users have raised concerns after Fortnite suffered an outage on June 7. According to Downdetector, there are over 2,100 complaints of the popular gaming app being down in the US. Users took to X (formerly Twitter) to report that the server is down due to maintenance. One user reported that the problem started 15 minutes after the beginning of “the Death Star sabotage event.”
A user also shared a screenshot of a frozen screen that displayed the message “Network connection lost.”
“Following the Death Star Sabotage Live Event, Fortnite will go into downtime at 2:30 PM ET. Look forward to v36.00 releasing later this evening!” Fortnite Status, the official X account that provides service updates for the game, posted.
According to the in-game timer at the end of the live-event, downtime will last 5.5 hours.
