Kelly Osbourne’s engagement ring holds a special meaning.

On Saturday, her partner, Sid Wilson, popped the question in front of friends and family at her father Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath farewell concert.

“Oh and this happened yesterday!” Osbourne shared on her Instagram, showing a video of the proposal, which took place backstage at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.

Mouawad, the jewelry brand that created the piece in collaboration with her fiancé, posted a video of the design process on social media, explaining the meaning behind the eye-catching design.

In the clip, Wilson, who is the DJ for the band Slipknot, sat down with the label’s co-guardian and diamond expert Pascal Mouawad to discuss how the unique sparkle came to life.

As it turns out, the ring is a homage to Wilson’s nickname for Osbourne: honeybee. “And coincidentally, a friend of hers, Joan Rivers, used to call her this,” the musician continued, mentioning her “Fashion Police” co-host, who died in 2014.

He continued, “Joan Rivers used to call her this. It was a nickname she had for her. I didn’t know this. It’s like an amazing coincidence. Like, whoa. Meant to be.”

Wilson, who shares son Sidney, 2, with Osbourne, gave her the pet name because she would “buzz around” and spread good energy, much like a bee.

“I wanted the ring to reflect this somehow, using honeybees and pollen and diamonds, obviously,” he said.

Per the Instagram post, the ring is set in 18-karat gold — shaped with hexagonal bezel settings to mirror and honeycomb — and adorned with white and yellow diamonds, citrine accents. Pear-shaped diamonds form abstract bee shapes and the design is crowned with a brilliant round white diamond at its center.

When Wilson saw the final result, he gushed, “It’s blinding! It sparkles! She’s going to love that. Dude, it’s beautiful. …It’s more than perfect. It’s a fairy tale.”
