DC introduced Krypto in Adventure Comics #210 in 1955 as part of a one-off storyline. His popularity quickly turned him into a recurring character in Superman and Superboy comics. A meteor knocked his ship off course, but he eventually landed on Earth and reunited with Kal-El.
