Dead Man Walking? Liam (Scott Clifton) may not have many more dances in his future with daughter Kelly (Sophia Paras).
When Liam fell and his head injuries landed him in the hospital, fans immediately began wondering if Liam was going to die on The Bold & TheBeautiful. Though the doctors stopped the brain bleed, it was the reason for his falls that were the real question mark in his recovery. And unfortunately, in the April 18 episode, the heartbreaking truth was finally revealed… though not yet to Liam.
The End Is Near?
Grace and Bridget worried about Liam, who continued to insist that he had to get out of the hospital because today was Kelly’s Daddy Daughter Dance and he refused to miss it. At home, Steffy’s heart melted when Kelly emerged in her beautiful dress, but when she asked if her father was here yet, it sank. “I hate to tell you this, but I don’t think your daddy’s gonna make it to the dance after all,” Steffy sadly admitted.
At the hospital, Grace begged Liam to calm down while they waited for the results of the latest scans, but Liam was adamant that he be with his little girl on this important day and neither she nor Bridget could stop him. “I’m leaving here and I’m picking up Kelly,” he declared forcefully. “And you’re not stopping me!” Their pleas fell on deaf ears as Liam ripped out the IV and wires and got out of bed, promising to sign a waiver or whatever they needed.
As Grace and Bridget rushed to Finn’s office to report that Liam had checked himself out early, Kelly had just about given up on her father taking her to the dance when he came rushing through the door. She leapt into his arms and Steffy looked on sadly as they embraced. “I would never forget Daddy Daughter Dance, I promise,” he assured her. When Kelly asked where he had been, Liam fibbed that he was just getting her a present, a beautiful tiara to wear with her dress. When Kelly revealed that the dance was already over and they’d missed it, he couldn’t apologize enough. But he salvaged the evening by proposing that they have their own dance as a family right there and then.

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was emotional after learning that Liam may not have long to live.
Finn worried that Liam was pushing his luck and Bridget revealed that they’d just found out something about his condition. Grace showed him the latest scan and revealed, “It’s inoperable. Terminal.” Finn reeled from the diagnosis and Bridget struggled to hold it together as they processed the tragic news. “It’s not fair,” she cried. She noted of Liam, “He’s a wonderful man and a very devoted father. Just to think that he’s going to miss out on all these special moments in life… birthdays, graduations… walking those girls down the aisle… Something like this could just take all of that away from him — and from Kelly and Beth. It’s beyond cruel.”
Back at the house, Liam put on a brave face but Steffy worried when he struggled to complete his sentences. As Steffy and Kelly set up lights, Liam ignored the missed calls from Finn on his phone to play music for his ex-wife and daughter. As they danced, Kelly fretted when her father stumbled, but he tried to laugh it off as just being clumsy. Unfortunately, as father and daughter danced together, Steffy got a text from Finn explaining he was trying to get in touch with Liam because the new scans showed a mass on his brain. Then he added: “It’s inoperable.”
