Just two months after the U.S. men’s national soccer team plays at Geodis Park, the Mexican men’s national team will make its debut at the facility.
Mexico will face South Korea in an international friendly Sept. 9 during its MexTour2025 series leading up to the 2026 World Cup.
The match will mark Mexico’s first appearance at Geodis, and its first visit to Nashville since it defeated Panama 3-0 in an international friendly at Nissan Stadium in 2021.
Mexico and South Korea have met 14 times previously, and Mexico leads the all-time series with a record of 8-2-4. The nations last met Nov. 14, 2020, when Mexico won 3-2 in a friendly played in Austria.
Tickets for the match will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. CT this Friday at NashvilleSC.com/tickets and Ticketmaster.
The contest between Mexico and South Korea is the latest addition to a lively summer of soccer at Geodis.
The U.S. team, featuring Nashville SC central defender Walker Zimmerman, will take on Switzerland June 10 in a friendly. That contest will serve as preparation for the Americans, who will participate in the upcoming Gold Cup.
In addition, Geodis will host three FIFA Club World Cup contests, as Los Angeles FC takes on Esperance Sportive de Tunisie on June 20; Auckland City FC battles CA Boca Juniors on June 24; and Al Hilal faces CF Pachuca on June 26.
On Aug. 2, Nashville SC will play English Premier League team Aston Villa at Geodis, with the visitors preparing for the start of their league season.
Amidst all of the special events will be the remainder of the MLS season for Nashville SC (8-4-5), which is in the midst of a 10-game unbeaten streak across all competitions. The Boys in Gold have reached the midpoint of their schedule with 29 points, good for fourth place in the 15-team Eastern Conference.
NSC is off until June 14, when the team returns to action with a game at the Chicago Fire FC.
