MI vs CSK Highlights: Mumbai Indians’ strength overwhelmed Chennai Super Kings for the first time in five encounters and romped to victory by 9-wickets on Sunday evening.

Once Rohit Sharma (76 off 45 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (68 off 30 balls) got going, any target seemed achievable. It was a delight for the spectators, regardless of their loyalties.

Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube struck fifties as Chennai Super Kings finished strongly on 176/5 against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday evening.

Jadeja remained unbeaten on 53 from 25 balls while Dube scored 50 from 32 balls as they provided the flourish the team needed after a slow start and couple of quick wickets.

Hardik Pandya won the toss and the bowlers made the decision to field first count. Rachin Ravindra and Rasheed didn’t make a serious impact. Ayush Mhatre, making his CSK and T20 debut, went into the attack from the very first over and took the attack to the MI bowlers. His 15-ball 32 gave the visitors the momentum they needed after slow start.

Even while Dube fell against the run of play, Jadeja kept going and made the most of the opportunity. He took CSK to a fighting total, with 103 coming in the last nine overs, but it is still below-par on a good surface.

For MI, Bumrah and Santner were the pick of the bowlers as Pandya rotated bowlers well.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and have decided to field against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday evening. Hardik Pandya-led MI have decided to stick with the same playing XI as the previous contest. CSK, meanwhile, have brought in Ayush Mhatre instead of Rahul Tripathi.

Chennai Super Kings’ recent struggles might dull the excitement of this year’s IPL Clasico’s return leg, but for the Mumbai Indians, it’s an opportunity to adapt their strategy and extend their winning streak tonight.
