Post Malone had some help from Morgan Wallen on his country pivot last year. Now, Posty is returning the favor for Wallen’s upcoming album I’m the Problem. Malone came back to Wallen for “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” and we’re sorry to report this breakup track might be even catchier than their last linkup. “There’s a lotta reasons I ain’t Jesus,” the boys sing (as if we needed a reminder), “but the main one is that I ain’t comin’ back.” The fitting Good Friday drop slips in other Christian references too, like Malone warning a girl, “You don’t need to wait three days,” next to lines about NASCAR driver Richard Petty and Johnny Walker Black whiskey. And that’s country music, y’all!
“I Ain’t Comin’ Back” is the seventh song Wallen has released from his 37-track album, out in full on May 16. Wallen confirmed the track list on April 16, which also includes titles like “20 Cigarettes,” “Whiskey in Reverse,” and “Skoal, Chevy, and Browning” (because the Skoal and Chevy references on “I Ain’t Comin’ Back” weren’t already enough). Wallen also revealed the rest of the album’s guests, confirming that Tate McRae would be trading her sports car for a truck on “What I Want,” alongside appearances from old friends Hardy, Ernest, and Eric Church. Guess they’re all part of The Problem too.
