Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Born From a Wish is Coming Later This Year as DLC – Rumor

If rumors of a new 2.5D Metroidvania God of War title weren’t enough, Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake could be receiving some DLC later this year. Leaker Aesthetic Gamer, aka Dusk Golem, said there’s a “VERY high chance” of Born from a Wish being announced soon.

Bloober Team allegedly began working on it before the remake’s launch, though they hadn’t heard any information “for a while.” However, based on recent details, it’s still reportedly happening and “aiming to release before the end of the year.”

As a prequel scenario before the base game’s events, Born from a Wish features Maria as the protagonist and what occurred before meeting James Sunderland. With Sony’s State of Play happening today at 2 PM PDT, it could very well be announced as paid DLC for the remake.

What about an Xbox Series X/S release, especially since Silent Hill 2 remake is allegedly exclusive to PS5 for a year? While nothing is official, it’s still a possibility. “They have at least definitely worked on it.”

Stay tuned for more details and announcements in the meantime. Silent Hill 2 remake is currently available for PS5 and PC. It’s sold over two million copies as of January 2025.
