Even Tom Cruise can’t compete with the folks who tune in to watch Taylor Sheridan’s television shows on Paramount+. Neal McDonough, who appears in two of them — Yellowstone and Tulsa King — is reaping the benefits of their popularity with his latest starring vehicle, the neo-Western film The Last Rodeo. The movie was released in the same week as two heavy hitters, Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and Disney’s live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch. Despite the competition, The Last Rodeo held its own, thanks mainly to the warm audience reception that it received. And it would seem like the more people that watch it, the more enthusiastically it is embraced.
The Last Rodeo’s audience score on Rotten Tomatoes has now hit new heights; it’s currently sitting at a “verified hot” 95%, which is as good (if not better) than that of any other film currently in release.
